The radiant cut diamond has trimmed corners and can be either square or rectangle. Radiant cut diamonds are similar to the emerald cut diamonds, but it has different faceting. Unlike emerald cut diamonds' step-cut, radiant cut gives the diamond a type of sparkle similar to the round brilliant cut diamonds.

L / W = Length to Width Ratio
Optimum Radiant Cut Ratio: 1.1 :1
Acceptable Radiant Cut Ratio: 1.1 - 1.5 :1

The optimum shape suggested for radiant cut diamonds are the ones with length-to-width ratio of 1 : 1. Generally acceptable length-to-width ratio are 1.5 : 1.
